Block House Municipal Utility District is a wholesale customer of the City of Cedar Park. Under the provisions of its water supply contract with the City, the District is required, at a minimum, to establish for its residents any voluntary or mandatory restrictions established by the City of Cedar Park for its customers.
Block House MUD allows up to a 21 day watering variance for new sod, which must be requested from Crossroads Utility Services. Variance must be requested by following the procedure listed in the section below.
The City of Cedar Park returns to two days per week of outdoor watering.
Recent rains have boosted the combined storage in Lake Buchanan and Lake Travis to more than 1.1 million acre-feet, which allows the City of Cedar Park to move to a two-day-per-week outdoor watering schedule (technically referred to as the City’s Stage 2) in alignment with the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Drought Contingency Plan (DCP). However, Cedar Park water customers are encouraged to continue to use water wisely.
