Block House Municipal Utility District is a wholesale customer of the City of Cedar Park. Under the provisions of its water supply contract with the City, the District is required, at a minimum, to establish for its residents any voluntary or mandatory restrictions established by the City of Cedar Park for its customers.

Block House MUD allows up to a 21 day watering variance for new sod, which must be requested from Crossroads Utility Services. Variance must be requested by following the procedure listed in the section below.

Stage 3 Watering Schedule

• Odd-numbered residential addresses water on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays
• Even-numbered residential addresses water on Thursdays and/or Sundays
• All commercial or residential properties can only water once a week, and no watering is allowed on Mondays or Fridays. Customers can only water before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m. on their designated watering day.
• Commercial businesses, including apartment and condominium complexes, can water on Tuesdays.

Block House MUD is a commercial water customer of the City of Cedar Park, and, as part of its water purchase agreement with the City, the District is authorized to implement variances to the City’s commercial watering schedule.

In order to facilitate efficient watering of the common areas, the Board of Directors voted to approve a watering schedule variance in April 2021. Under the variance, the District’s irrigation system runs 7 days a week; however, each irrigation zone is watered only twice per week (before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.) as permitted under the current watering restrictions.

Drought Contingency Plans (DCP) are required by law for certain entities. A drought contingency plan aims to: Conserve the available water supply. Protect and preserve public health, welfare, and safety. Minimize the adverse impacts of water supply shortage or other water supply emergency conditions.

Block House MUD allows up to a 21 day watering variance for new sod, which must be requested from Crossroads Utility Services.

To request the variance, you must:

• email CustomerService@Crossroadsus.com
• state that sod was or will be installed on date
• provide information on where and how many yards of sod were or will be installed
• request 21 day watering variance from Day 1 date through Day 21 date
• create a sign, which must be legible from the street and include the following:
  Watering Variance Approved by Block House MUD, Day 1 date through Day 21 date
• Email a photo or scan of your sign along with the request to Crossroads Utility Services at the email addresses provided above, and you will receive a response from Crossroads.
